And a state: \u062d\u0633\u0646 (he was good\/became good), \u064a\u062d\u0633\u0646 (he is\/will be good), \u0627\u062d\u0633\u0646 (be good!).<\/p>\n<p>Some of the distinguishing characteristics of a verb include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>It can only be a predicate (\u0645\u0633\u0646\u062f, &#8220;that which is assigned to something else&#8221;);<\/li>\n<li>It can accept the article \u0642\u062f (specifically, the \u0645\u0627\u0636\u064a and \u0645\u0636\u0627\u0631\u0639 verbs);<\/li>\n<li>It can accept\u00a0\u0646\u0648\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u062a\u0648\u0643\u064a\u062f (specifically, the \u0645\u0636\u0627\u0631\u0639 and \u0623\u0645\u0631 verbs);<\/li>\n<li>It can indicate a command by its very form (this characteristic, along with characteristic 3, define an \u0623\u0645\u0631; in other words, an \u0623\u0645\u0631 verb is defined as that which can take a \u0646\u0648\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u062a\u0648\u0643\u064a\u062f and refers to a command directly).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Verbs are primarily categorized according to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Their tense, into the \u0645\u0627\u0636\u064a (perfect), \u0645\u0636\u0627\u0631\u0639 (imperfect), and the \u0623\u0645\u0631 (command) verbs;<\/li>\n<li>Their being a\u00a0\u0645\u062c\u0631\u062f (base form) or a \u0645\u0632\u064a\u062f \u0641\u064a\u0647 (increased form);<\/li>\n<li>Their base form being three-lettered (like \u0636\u0631\u0628 &#8220;he hit&#8221;) or four-lettered (\u062f\u062d\u0631\u062c &#8220;he rolled&#8221;).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u0641\u0639\u0644- \u201cverb\u201d A verb refers to an action or a state, occurring in the past, present, or future.
